Here’s to the health of your fridge!

Hello lovelies,

I was reading through my Woman’s Day magazine last night and came across these great tips to keep your fridge nice and healthy!

  1. Vacuum the coils regularly.  Dust and grime can reduce efficiency by as much as 30%.
  2. Leave a 2″ gap between the appliance and the walls and counters.  Without the space, excess heat won’t be released and your fridge might overheat!!
  3. Set the fridge between 37 – 40 degrees fahrenheit.  Lower temps can use 25% more energy.
  4. Defrost the freezer if the frost is more than 1/4″ thick.  Then set the temperature to zero to prevent buildup.

How to use money to save money…

Close the fridge door over a dollar bill.  If you can pull it out easily, the seal needs to be replaced!!!
